Eliezer E. Goldschmidt (Born 1938, Jerusalem) is an emeritus professor of agriculture at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is a Ph.D. since 1968, and a professor since 1982. ==Contributions== He is mostly known for his many research projects on the citron genetics,〔(The Search for the Authentic Citron )〕 shape variability of citrons,〔Factors determining the shape of citrons. Israel J. Bot. 25:34-40. 1976.〕 and all which is relevant for the citron cultivation for etrog ritual. He developed an auxin which is very instrumental in preserving the style and stigma of the citron, which adds beauty and halachic promotion to an etrog. He has many credits on different citrus species, and general agriculture as well.
